Jessica Chu, CAIA

Product Strategy & Investor Relations

Jessica Chu is responsible for Product Strategy & Investor Relations for 50 South Capital's Hedge Fund Investment Team. She focuses on fundraising, investor relations, and business development within the group.

Prior to joining 50 South Capital, Jessica was an Asset Management Analyst at J.P. Morgan, where she tailored fixed income investment solutions for ultra high net worth individuals and select institutions. She also supported a team of investment specialists and worked directly with the Regional Chief Investment Officer for the sales management of investment products and business development initiatives. During her time at J.P. Morgan, she was responsible for managing the private equity and hedge fund books in fund raising and marketing for the Central Region.

Education & Associations

Jessica received her B.A. degree from Northwestern University in English literature and international studies. She holds her Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst certification as well as her FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Jessica is a mentor and Chairs the One Million Degrees Associates Board, a non-profit dedicated to the success of community college students in Chicagoland. She sits on the Advisory Board of Invest For Kids, a foundation that is committed to underserved children and women, and serves on the Executive Committee of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, a global association of professional women committed to educational programming and philanthropy.


While born and raised in Pittsburgh, Jessica considers herself a Chicago native now and lives in Lakeview with her husband. Jessica enjoys visiting different countries and believes trying new food is one of the best parts of traveling. She spends her weekends at the Core Power Yoga studio, working on her acrylic painting, and reading.
