Eric Qi is an Analyst in the Private Equity Group at 50 South Capital Advisors. He is responsible for analyzing buyout and venture capital partnership investment opportunities, and is involved with the analysis and execution of secondary investments and direct co-investments. In addition, he supports fundraising, investor relations and portfolio management activities. Prior to joining 50 South Capital, Eric was a member of Northern Trust’s Rotational Development Program, completing rotations in Quantitative Equity Strategy, Equity Research, and Global Asset Allocation. Prior to the program, Eric interned in Strategic Development within Northern Trust Asset Management.
Education & Associations
Eric graduated with distinction from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and minor in Spanish. In college he was the co-founder and president of the Duke Philosophy Society, as well as captain of the Duke Chess Team. Eric has spent time working and studying abroad in Argentina and the UK, respectively.
