Gabriel Denis

Gabriel Denis is a Research Analyst for 50 South Capital’s Hedge Fund Investment Team. He focuses on sourcing and monitoring hedge fund investments.

Prior to joining 50 South Capital, Gabriel was employed at Morningstar Research Services, where he was a Senior Manager Research Analyst and voting member of the team’s Global Parent Ratings Committee. In this role, he had oversight over the assignment of Morningstar Parent ratings for investment managers and had direct coverage of several asset managers. He had previously conducted due diligence on prospective and existing fixed income investment strategies across a variety of asset classes as well as contributed to several landscape research reports on robo-advisors, sustainable bond strategies, and broad taxable fixed-income market trends. Before joining Morningstar in 2016, Gabriel served with AmeriCorps Vista in Baltimore.

Gabriel holds a B.A. in history from the Johns Hopkins University.
