Julie Canna

Julie Canna is a Senior Vice President for 50 South Capital, responsible for fundraising, investor relations, and business development. Additionally, Julie is a member of the 50 South Capital Giving Council.

Prior to joining 50 South Capital, Julie was the Head of Investor Relations and the Chief Marketing Officer for Anchor Bolt Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund based in Chicago. She was responsible for all aspects of investor relations and providing clients with portfolio insights, and for global fundraising efforts across all allocator channels. Prior to Anchor Bolt, Julie was the Head of Investor Relations and Marketing for Chicago Fundamental Investment Partners, a Chicago-based long/short credit manager, and was a Vice President at Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc. At Mesirow, Julie was responsible for sourcing and monitoring hedge fund investments for the firm’s multi-manager hedge fund products, with responsibilities for researching managers across strategies and regions. She began her career at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., as an Analyst in Investment Banking, in the equity capital markets division.

Julie received a B.S.B.A with a dual major in Finance and Accounting from the University of Richmond. Julie is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
