Chris Chen

Chris Chen is a Senior Vice President in the Private Equity Group at 50 South Capital. She focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and executing primary fund investments and direct co investments across a range of strategies, with particular emphasis on buyouts.

Prior to joining 50 South Capital, Chris was a Principal at TowerBrook, a middle market private equity firm co-headquartered in New York and London with more than $26 billion in assets under management. At TowerBrook, she was a member of the consumer private equity team and was actively involved across the full investment lifecycle, including due diligence, underwriting, and portfolio company management. Previously, Chris served as a Vice President at Kain Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on healthcare. Earlier in her career, she was an Associate at Advent International, a global private equity firm with over $100 billion in assets under management, where she focused on investments in the business and financial services sectors.

Chris earned a B.A. in Economics and Law, Letters & Society, with honors, from the University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
