Eliza McGrath

Eliza McGrath serves as the Head of Alternatives Sales, dedicated to the strategic growth of the firm’s alternative assets. In this role, she partners across the organization to provide insight and investment solutions tailored to clients’ and prospects’ alternative investment needs and objectives.

Before joining 50 South Capital, Eliza spent two decades driving growth through product development and fundraising initiatives within prominent alternative investment firms. She developed extensive knowledge of the alternative ecosystem, cultivating long-term relationships while delivering consultative solutions across multiple products. Most recently, Eliza was the Head of Fundraising and Investor Relations at Hastings Equity Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm. There, she spearheaded capital formation efforts, collaborating with institutional investors to secure new investment opportunities and build strategic partnerships. Prior to Hastings, Eliza played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the Private Debt Investor Relations platform at Audax Group, contributing to a threefold increase in private credit assets through effective fundraising, product development, and relationship management. Her career also includes business development and investor relations roles at Investcorp’s private equity division and Citi Private Equity, which managed alternative assets across direct, mezzanine, and limited partnership investments. Eliza began her career at Lehman Brothers in their Financial Analyst program, gaining experience in Equity Derivatives, Corporate Finance, and Business Planning & Analysis.

Eliza received a B.B.A. with Honors in International Finance and Marketing at The University of Miami Herbert Business School.
