Kara Hoover

Kara Hoover is Head of Business Management at 50 South Capital. She is responsible for managing and tracking product opportunities and strategic projects within 50 South Capital. Kara is a member of both the 50 South Capital Giving Council and Diversity Council, as well as the Northern Trust Women in Leadership Business Resource Council and Asian Leadership Business Resource Council.

Prior to 50 South Capital, Kara worked in the Asset Servicing business unit at Northern Trust. Most recently, Kara consulted and delivered innovative solutions that met the complex and specific business needs of institutional clients. Previously, she supported product management for investment administration services for alternative assets and product development for transaction processing, valuation, and reporting initiatives. Kara also provided client servicing to US and international fund manager clients. She started her career as a portfolio accounting analyst overseeing client defined contribution and defined benefit plans.

Kara received a B.A. degree from Ball State University and a M.B.A. degree and Certificate in Project Management from DePaul University. Kara also completed the Product Management Certificate Program from Product Management Executive Board, CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate Program, and CAIA Fundamentals in Alternative Investments Certificate Program and Digital Assets Microcredential.
